13th Annual Polar Plunge | Mauch Chunk Lake, Jim Thorpe

The 13th Annual Polar Plunge takes place at Mauch Chunk Lake in Jim Thorpe on Saturday, January 31, 2026, with registration from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM and the first plungers hitting the water at 12:00 PM.

This high-energy winter tradition invites brave participants to take an icy dip while supporting a great cause. Proceeds benefit Marian Catholic High School, and the event encourages both plungers and spectators to come out and enjoy the party atmosphere.

Registration is $35 per person, and all are welcome to join in—whether diving in or cheering from shore.
