Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, presented by the Pennsylvania Theatre of Performing Arts in Hazleton, runs December 12–14, 2025 with dinner served before each performance. This beloved holiday classic is faithfully adapted from the original Charles Dickens novel by Peter DeLaurier, bringing Scrooge, the Cratchits, and the Ghosts of Christmas to life on stage.
Each performance features a full holiday dinner theatre experience, including a festive feast catered by Four Blooms Restaurant with recipes from PTPA kitchen matriarch Sue Childs. Guests can enjoy roasted turkey with gravy, baked ham with pineapple glaze, smashed potatoes, brown sugar glazed sweet potatoes, sausage and mushroom stuffing, green beans almondine, buttery vegetable medley, soup and salad with fresh breads, and a selection of four desserts.
Doors open for dinner patrons one hour and forty-five minutes before curtain, with dinner served promptly at 5:30 PM on Friday and Saturday and 1:30 PM on Sunday. The auditorium opens for show-only patrons 15 minutes before curtain. Alcoholic beverages and soft drinks are available at the lobby bar throughout dinner, before the show, and again at intermission.
