Wednesday, April 1, 2026 | 9:00 AM
Golden Series: Art in the Park takes place at Nescopeck State Park in Drums on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at 9:00 AM. This senior-focused program celebrates America250 with a guided painting experience inspired by Pennsylvania’s natural beauty.
Led by DCNR Conservation Volunteer Jan Lokuta, participants will create a 10×14-inch canvas painting featuring a bald eagle set within a Pennsylvania landscape. The project draws inspiration from the works of renowned artists John James Audubon and Thomas Doughty, offering both artistic guidance and historical context.
The session provides step-by-step instruction, making it accessible for all skill levels. All materials are included, allowing attendees to fully focus on the creative process in a relaxed outdoor setting.
Participants are encouraged to bring a lunch to enjoy during the program. The event is free to attend, but registration is required.
