Grateful Dub | Mauch Chunk Opera House, Jim Thorpe

Friday, April 10, 2026 | 8:00 PM

Grateful Dub takes place at the Mauch Chunk Opera House in Jim Thorpe on Friday, April 10, 2026 at 8:00 PM, bringing Roots of Creation’s reggae-infused tribute to Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead to the stage.

Created by Roots of Creation (RoC), Grateful Dub reimagines beloved Dead songs through a reggae-dub lens, blending the band’s longtime love of island rhythms with the singable melodies and free-spirited feel of the Grateful Dead catalog. The project was developed as a studio album, produced in collaboration with five-time Grammy winner Errol Brown, known for his work as Bob Marley’s sound engineer.

On tour, RoC performs Grateful Dub live as a full-show experience, often joined by rotating special guests. While guests vary by date, the performance stays rooted in the same goal: honoring the spirit and improvisational joy of the Grateful Dead while “laying it down” in a warm, bass-forward reggae-dub style.
