Pottsville Film Festival | Majestic Theater & Downtown Pottsville
Friday, May 29 – Sunday, May 31, 2026 | Festival Weekend
The Pottsville Film Festival will take place at the Majestic Theater and locations throughout downtown Pottsville from Friday, May 29 through Sunday, May 31, 2026. Presented by the Majestic Theater and supported by title sponsor Explore Schuylkill, the second annual festival celebrates independent film, creativity and the local arts community.
Throughout the weekend, attendees can experience curated independent film screenings featuring submissions from filmmakers across the country. The festival has already received more than 100 entries and continues to grow its presence within the independent film scene.
Special guest Richard Kline, known for his role as Larry Dallas on the television series Three’s Company, will attend the festival for the entire weekend. Kline will participate in festival events including a red carpet appearance, an educational workshop and a live question-and-answer session with attendees.
The event will also include filmmaker discussions, networking opportunities for creative professionals and coordinated activities that highlight Pottsville’s downtown restaurants, shops and entertainment venues.
The festival is designed as a citywide celebration that connects film with the local community, encouraging visitors to explore downtown Pottsville while enjoying a weekend of cinema and creative programming.
