The Tunkhannock Business and Professional Association is hosting “Sip and Savor” on Saturday, September 7th. The event is designed to highlight area businesses along with art, music and some sampling of treats. The Tunkhannock business community is a thriving network of family-owned restaurants and businesses. Sip and Savor is an opportunity for residents and visitors alike to learn more about the local talent and services. Most of the featured activities will run from 11am to 4pm, but the hours at specific businesses may differ.

The event also coincides with a Reading and Northern Railroad diesel train ride that is coming to Tunkhannock from the Jim Thorpe area with up to 130 passengers on the train. Passengers make a day of the excursion that departs the Nesquehoning Station at 9:30 am and is scheduled to arrive at approximately 12:30. Lunch will also be provided on the train. Riders will depart at 4pm.
