Letterpress Classes at Crow Designs Letterpress Studio in Clarks Summit run on select Sundays from 9 AM to noon, with each session offered twice per month. These hands on workshops guide students through the full letterpress printmaking process, from laying out a composition and setting type to inking, experimenting with techniques and printing by hand on a press.
The Art of the Protest Poster is offered Sunday, January 18 and Sunday, January 25. Get the Lead Type Out: Rock n’ Roll Poster is offered Sunday, February 8 and Sunday, February 22. Zines, Zines, Zines is offered Sunday, March 8 and Sunday, March 15. Each session is limited to five students, creating a small group environment with individual guidance.
Participants leave with practical production skills, a deeper understanding of physical media and print history, and artwork created during class. The cost is $60 per person, and interested students are encouraged to message the studio to reserve a spot.
