Winterfest takes place at Lackawanna State Park in North Abington Township on Saturday, February 14, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, inviting families and outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy a full afternoon of winter-friendly fun—no matter how cold it gets.

This seasonal celebration offers a mix of hands-on activities and outdoor experiences designed to help visitors make the most of the winter landscape. Guests can try snowshoes, join a guided hike, and learn helpful tips for outdoor winter safety. There are also opportunities to watch birds through binoculars and create simple nature crafts like pinecone bird feeders.

Throughout the event, visitors can explore exhibits and educational stations, including campfire cooking, fly tying, and a maple sugaring exhibit. Kids’ winter crafts and activities will also be available, making Winterfest a great option for all ages.

Hot food and cocoa will be offered by the Keystone College Eco Club for a donation. Snow and ice activities are dependent on conditions, and scheduled events will be announced.
