Break out your green and get ready to jig—St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner, and in NEPA, that means parades. With seven lively celebrations happening across the region, there’s no shortage of bagpipes, kilts and Irish dance to get you in the spirit.

Whether you’re cheering from the sidewalk, joining a pub crawl, or indulging in classic Irish fare like corned beef and shepherd’s pie, there’s no better time to embrace the luck of the Irish. So don your best St. Paddy’s Day gear and get ready for a parade season filled with music, spraoi and plenty of green!

Saturday, March 1 at 11:30 a.m.

Get ready for a lively celebration at the 12th Annual Pittston City St. Patrick’s Parade on March 1 at 11:30 a.m. Main Street will come alive with over 120 groups, featuring lively bagpipe bands, festive floats and local performers. It’s the perfect way to celebrate Irish heritage with a touch of luck and plenty of fun!

Saturday, March 8 at 11:45 a.m.

Grab your green gear and join the fun at the Scranton St. Patrick’s Parade on March 8. The second-largest parade in the country will kick off at 11:45 AM, bringing lively Irish cheer to downtown Scranton. With over 12,000 participants, it’s a celebration of all things Irish—music, floats and plenty of St. Paddy’s day magic.

Starting at 2 p.m., this festive procession will feature over 100 groups, including lively bagpipe bands, vibrant floats and local organizations. Don your finest green attire and soak in the festive spirit as Wilkes-Barre turns into a sea of shamrocks.

NEPA’s Smallest St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Friday, March 14 at 9 a.m.

Froggy 101’s “NEPA’s Smallest St. Patrick’s Day Parade” may last just seven minutes, but it’s full of Irish spirit. Kicking off at the Bus Stop Café in downtown Nanticoke, it loops around Patriot Square Park. Froggy 101 personalities will broadcast live, with performances from local pipe and drum bands, appearances by officials and participation from Nanticoke’s Police and Fire Departments.

The Pocono Irish American Club’s Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade steps off in Stroudsburg on Sunday, March 23 at 1:15 p.m. Expect a grand display of Irish pride with marching bands, dancers and plenty of green along the route from Stroudsburg High School to the municipal building. Keep an eye out for the special guest grand marshal leading the way.
