Clear Skies and Irish Pride at the Scranton St. Patrick’s Parade

Thousands gathered in Downtown Scranton for the 64th annual Scranton St. Patrick’s Parade, continuing one of Northeastern Pennsylvania’s most beloved traditions. The parade, which dates back to 1962, brings the community together every March to celebrate Irish heritage, local pride and the excitement of Parade Day in the Electric City.

This year’s Scranton St. Patrick’s Parade took place under clear skies and mild March weather, setting the perfect scene for a full day of celebration. More than 145 groups stepped onto the parade route and made their way through the streets of Scranton. Marching bands, colorful floats, Irish dancers and community organizations filled the parade with energy while thousands of spectators lined the sidewalks to watch the festivities unfold.

Local schools, businesses, clubs and community groups proudly represented the region throughout the parade. Families gathered along the route, cheering for performers and waving to participants as the celebration moved through Downtown Scranton.

The Scranton St. Patrick’s Parade once again delivered a memorable Parade Day filled with music, community spirit and plenty of Irish pride.
