April 10–12 – Waverly, PA
Independent film takes center stage at the Northeast Pennsylvania Film Festival at The Waverly Community House in Waverly from Friday, April 10 through Sunday, April 12, with a kickoff beginning Friday at 6:00 PM. The three-day festival features film screenings, workshops, and an Opening Night Party celebrating emerging and independent filmmakers from around the world.

Polka fans gather for Pennsylvania Polkafest at the Keystone Grand Ballroom at Mohegan Pennsylvania in Wilkes-Barre on Saturday, April 11 rom 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The lively celebration of polka music and culture features performances by 18-time Grammy Award winner Jimmy Sturr and His Orchestra and the Grammy-nominated Polka Family Band.

The 8th Annual Kirby Fest takes over the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts in Wilkes-Barre on Saturday, April 18 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with an evening of tastings and entertainment. Guests can sample local beer, wine, cider and spirits alongside food tastings from regional vendors while enjoying live entertainment, local artist displays and a silent auction benefiting the Kirby Center’s community outreach and children’s arts education programs.

The Renaissance Jamboree fills downtown Bloomsburg on Main and Market Streets on Saturday, April 25 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The annual outdoor festival features hundreds of craft vendors, food from local nonprofit organizations, free entertainment, kiddie rides and games, with free parking at the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds and shuttle service to the event.
