Celebrating Local Creativity in the Electric City at the 2025 Scranton Fringe Festival
The Scranton Fringe Festival 2025 marks its 11th year of bringing bold, boundary-pushing performance art to Downtown Scranton. Since 2015, this award-winning celebration has transformed the city into a stage for theater, dance, comedy, music, film, and more. From September 25 through October 5, dozens of venues will host an eclectic mix of performances that highlight the city’s creativity and embrace the global spirit of fringe festivals, inspired by the world-renowned Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Scranton Fringe is so much more than just another festival. It’s a community-driven effort showcasing the talents of local playwrights, directors, choreographers, comedians, and musicians. Audiences can expect everything from children’s theater and gripping dramas to immersive audio projects, thought-provoking visual art, comedy and late-night favorites like silent discos.
With its open platform free of content censorship, Scranton Fringe fosters an environment where artists can take risks, experiment, and connect with audiences in unexpected ways—ensuring there’s something for everyone to discover.
