Community, Tradition and Summer Fun at Northeastern PA’s County Fairs

From early June through late September, county fairs light up Northeastern Pennsylvania with music, midway games, and a sense of shared community. These annual gatherings blend the excitement of carnival rides and live performances with the warmth of small-town traditions, offering a vibrant mix of old-fashioned charm and family-friendly fun. Lackawanna County Heritage Fair

June 5 – 8

The Lackawanna County Heritage Fair returns to Montage Mountain Resorts in Scranton from June 5–8, offering four days of family-friendly fun. Admission includes unlimited amusement rides, full access to the Montage Mountain Waterpark, live entertainment and nightly fireworks on Friday and Saturday. The fair celebrates the diverse cultural heritage of the region with artisan vendors, local cuisine, educational exhibits and live performances throughout the weekend.

September 19 – 27

Wrap up fair season at one of NEPA’s biggest and most anticipated events — the Bloomsburg Fair in Bloomsburg. Spanning 227 acres, this nine-day celebration is packed with live concerts, rides, animal exhibits, and endless rows of food and shopping vendors. Grandstand shows this year include major acts like Dustin Lynch, The Oak Ridge Boys, Jeff Dunham, Ludacris, Third Eye Blind, Bullride Mania and more. It’s the ultimate way to close out summer.
