Experience Pocono Mountain Beauty at Beltzville State Park.

Beltzville State Park in Carbon County offers visitors a full slate of outdoor activities across all four seasons. As one of NEPA’s 18 state parks, it’s a favorite for families, anglers, hikers, and paddlers looking to enjoy nature in the Pocono Mountains. In the summer, the 949-acre Beltzville Lake draws swimmers and sunbathers to its large sand beach. The lake is also open for boating, with kayaks, rowboats, and small motorboats available for rent.

Both Beltzville Lake and the nearby Pohopoco Creek are stocked with trout and bass, making the park a popular NEPA fishing spor. Calm waters and scenic coves create excellent conditions for kayaking and shoreline casting. The park is open to fishing year-round, and ice fishing is permitted in winter when conditions allow.

Beltzville State Park stays active even in colder months. Cross-country skiers glide through the park’s trails while others venture out for iceboating and winter trout fishing on the frozen lake.

The park’s 15 miles of hiking trails vary in difficulty and highlight natural and historical features. The Saw Mill Trail passes remnants of an old gristmill and slate quarry. The Falls Trail guides hikers through the woods to the serene Wild Creek Falls. Every trail showcases the natural beauty of this Pocono Mountains state park.

From summer swimming and kayaking to scenic fall hikes and winter state park fun, Beltzville State Park is a Pocono Mountains destination for year-round outdoor adventure.
