A Stunning Waterfall with Easy Access

You don’t always have to go on a challenging hike to experience the wonders of nature. Buttermilk Falls is a roadside waterfall in Bear Creek, about one mile from where White Haven Road meets PA-115. A small dirt pull-off area is located along the road.

A short, easy walk will reward you with views of this waterfall, which is about 35 feet tall. The best time to visit is in the spring or after rainfall, when the water is rushing down the mountain.

While you’re in the area, visit the nearby Bear Creek Preserve, where you’ll find even more waterfalls and miles of hiking trails.
