A Little Escape Outside the City

The Dunmore Reservoir #1 Nature Trail is a 1.5-mile walking trail that leads around the serene shoreline and dense forests. Located right off of I-84 and US 6, it’s a pocket of green space on the outskirts of the city.

The walking trail circles the 83-acre reservoir. Take the stepping stones across Little Roaring Brook and relax in the shade at the picnic areas. The dam offers great views of the water and the old bridge. This easy hike is the perfect option for families looking for a fun, convenient outdoor activity.

Shoreline fishing is allowed at the reservoir.

Pennsylvania American Water owns the land and allows public access to the trail. Parking and trail access are available near the dam off of Tigue Street and on Dunda Drive across from Five Star Equipment.
