939 Main Street in Honesdale has always been a hub for local food. In the 1830s, it was an agricultural co-op where farmers met to trade goods, supplies, and stories. Today, it’s home to Dyberry Forks, a farm-to-table restaurant that sources all its produce, meats, and cheeses from Wayne County farms. Even after 150 years, it’s still a place where locals and visitors can gather and enjoy the culinary riches of beautiful Wayne County.

This warm, inviting restaurant welcomes diners with a classic main street restaurant exterior. Guests may enjoy warm weather dining at quaint, sidewalk tables or venture inside where a rustic and artistically crafted, working farm décor inspires adventurous appetites.

The menu at Dyberry Forks changes regularly to accommodate seasonal ingredients, which is no simple feat. But the chef’s hard work and brilliance pay off with flavors that sing a little louder and dance along the palate just a little longer creating a truly memorable dining experience.

It would be wise to begin this culinary journey with a signature cocktail from the bar. The mystical Violet Luna, an intriguing concoction of Gin, Crème de Violette, simple syrup and lemon juice shaken and streamed into a martini glass and garnished with edible cornflower petals is a good place to start. And if you just want to keep it simple with a cold beer, stay local with a fresh one from Wallenpaupack Brewing Co.

Menu Highlights

Nowhere on the menu do these fresh local ingredients shine more than in the delectable soups and salads. Simple starters like the Spring Salad or the Noodle Salad with or without steak prepare the palate with vibrant color and freshness. From there it would be difficult to pass up the Filet Mignon, a local favorite, paired with local vegetables and potatoes in a red-wine reduction.

Dyberry Forks also offers Sunday Supper, a fixed-price meal consisting of a soup or salad, an entrée and dessert for just $25.

There’s no better way to enjoy historic Honesdale than with a little walk down Main Street, some shopping and an extraordinary, casual meal at Dyberry Forks.
