The Hazleton One Community Center is the main focus of the Hazleton Integration Project (HIP), a community-based nonprofit founded by Hazleton native and Chicago Cubs manager Joe Maddon. The center hosts educational, cultural, and athletic programs for all ages at little to no cost.
The Hazleton One Community Center is a place where everyone can grow. Learn a new skill with their cooking lessons and art classes, or join the fun with their sports leagues. The center is also home to a fully bilingual pre-k program and an after-school program for students from kindergarten to eighth grade. For adults, they hold Spanish and English classes, citizenship classes, and more.
