Riverside Wonders on the Olmstead Trail

This heavily-forested trail along the Susquehanna River in Wilkes-Barre and Kingston covers about 3.5-miles. The Olmstead trail, named for Kirby Park designer, Frederick Law Olmstead Jr., begins on the north side of Market Street just beyond the parking lot at Kingston’s Nesbitt Park. The trail meanders under the famous Market Street Bridge and through a riverside riparian forest before joining with the Luzerne County Levee Trail.
