A Quiet Escape

Enjoy 67 acres of refreshing outdoor activities at this revitalized recreation area in Tamaqua. The Owl Creek Reservoir Recreation Area offers opportunities for fishing, kayaking, walking, birdwatching and so much more. The recreation area features two restored reservoirs – the Upper Reservoir and the Lower Reservoir. Fishing is restricted to catch and release only. Both reservoirs are open for boating (with electric motors) and kayaks, canoes and row boats.

Owl Creek Reservoir Recreation Area also hosts regular community events like 5Ks, Halloween Hayrides, visits with Santa and more.
