Shohola Falls in Shohola, PA is a powerful waterfall located in State Game Lands 180. The Shohola Creek rushes over rocky ledges and drops into a dramatic series of cascades. The setting feels wild, yet the hike stays short and approachable. It’s a great choice for travelers looking for a quick nature stop with a big visual reward.

The trail is often described as a 0.6-mile loop and is accessible year-round, conditions permitting. It is considered easy enough for kids. Pets are also welcome. Hikers should expect wooden steps and rocky sections. These areas can become slippery when wet. Sturdy footwear is recommended, especially after rain or in winter conditions.

Trail Access

There are two main ways to reach Shohola Falls. Visitors can park off Brooks Road and take a short walk through the woods. This route leads to an overlook near the top of the falls. Another option once existed off Route 6, but that parking area is no longer available. During the parking update, visitors may park at the end of Brooks Cabin Road.
