The 2,882-acre Stairway Wild Area, nestled within Delaware State Forest, holds historical significance as a bluestone quarry dating back to the 1840s. It is celebrated for its wetlands, seclusion, and natural beauty.

Featuring the serene 12-acre Stairway Lake and offering a nearby vista overlooking the Delaware River, this area is perfect for various recreational activities. Stairway Wild Area borders Buckhorn Natural Area to the northeast.

Explore the Stairway Lake Trail, a scenic 2.8-mile out-and-back hike along the Delaware River. This trail showcases the natural splendor of Delaware State Forest, renowned for its stunning vistas.

Access the trail via parking off Bluestone Boulevard in Westfall Township.
