Berwick Theater and Center for Community Arts | Movies & more in a historic Berwick venue

Berwick Theater and Center for Community Arts (BTCCA) in Berwick is a nonprofit single-screen movie theater and arts center offering showings of first- and second-run films. Housed in a historic building once known as the Strand, the space originally served as an opera house built by the Patriotic Order Sons of America. Since the 1920s, it has been a go-to spot for film and entertainment in the community.

Today, the BTCCA blends movie magic with creative events and local programming. Visitors can enjoy themed nights like Trivia Night, Entertainment Bingo, and Craft and Sip sessions. They also host interactive showings of The Rocky Horror Picture Show featuring a live shadow cast. With affordable pricing and unique programming, there’s always something happening at this beloved downtown theater.

The BTCCA is also available for private rentals. The venue accommodates birthday parties, school assemblies, corporate events and other special gatherings. Staff members work with each group to help create fun, personalized experiences in a one-of-a-kind space.
