The Exchange in Bloomsburg, PA is a nonprofit art gallery and community-driven organization dedicated to making the arts accessible for everyone. With a mission to bring the arts to all communities in the region, The Exchange showcases a diverse range of local talent and offers creative programs for all ages and abilities.
The gallery features rotating exhibitions year-round, welcoming submissions from artists of all experience levels. From student showcases to professional works, each show reflects the vibrant artistic spirit of Columbia County and the surrounding region.
Beyond the walls of the gallery, The Exchange brings creativity to the wider community through engaging initiatives like the Art Cart—a mobile art station that visits schools, child care centers, nursing homes, and other community hubs to lead hands-on projects. They also partner on town-wide events such as Halloween window painting and BOO!burg, adding a creative spark to seasonal celebrations.
Their Destination Blues Listening Room series brings live music into the gallery each month, while the annual ArtFest draws artists, musicians, food vendors, and families to downtown Bloomsburg for a day of celebration each August.
The Exchange also operates ArtOfPA.org, an online guide to arts and culture in Columbia and Montour counties and beyond. The gallery space is available for rent for arts-related events and private functions.
