The Exchange | Supporting Arts, Music & Community Connections in Bloomsburg

Since 2010, The Exchange has energized the arts and culture landscape in Bloomsburg through inclusive programming and year-round events. As a nonprofit with federal 501(c)(3) status, The Exchange is committed to supporting artists, connecting community members and creating space for creativity to thrive. Through visual arts, music and outreach, The Exchange plays a central role in enriching the cultural life of Columbia and Montour counties.

Gallery Shows for Artists of All Levels

The Exchange Gallery offers regional artists—regardless of age or experience—the opportunity to exhibit their work. Themed open-call exhibits, invitational shows and juried events ensure a wide range of artists can participate, encouraging creative expression across the community.

Live Music & Cultural Events

Beyond visual art, The Exchange hosts events like the Destination Blues Listening Room, a monthly concert series that brings outstanding musicians to town. Every August, ArtFest takes over downtown Bloomsburg with artists, craftspeople, performers and family-friendly activities. The Exchange also helps coordinate popular community events like Halloween window painting and BOO!burg.

Arts Access Through Outreach

The Art Cart brings hands-on art activities to child care centers, nursing homes and other community venues—ensuring that creativity is accessible to everyone. Their companion site, ArtOfPA.org, serves as a cultural resource for the region, sharing events, opportunities and news related to the arts.
