Winter Days Were Made for the Slopes
Dropping 600 feet from the summit to its base along the pristine Lehigh River, Jack Frost Ski Resort in White Haven is a winter sports paradise. The mountain offers 20 trails, including 2 terrain parks and 8 black diamond slopes. There are 12 lifts for quads, triples, and doubles; a Magic Carpet lift; and 2 tow lifts for the snow tubing park. The longer runs and higher drop make Jack Frost a true skier’s mountain.
For young skiers, the resort houses a Snow Monsters program for children as young as three and refresher courses for experienced but out-of-practice skiers and snowboarders. They also have just about all the gear you need available for rent or purchase at Big Jack’s Pro Shop. There is also a repair and tune-up service inside the rental shop.
When the mountain starts taking its toll, refuel at one of the many quick-stops with burritos and tacos, burgers and fries, or pizza. You can even grab salads, sandwiches, coffee, and sweet treats at Java Jacks. When you’re ready to call it a day and sit down and relax, ditch the skis and head into the Frosty Toboggan for a casual table service meal, or stop by and toast an exciting day on the mountain with drinks at Fiddler’s Fridge.
Beat the winter blues at Jack Frost Ski Resort, and don’t forget to check out the action at their sister resort, Big Boulder Ski Resort.
