Roaring waters and a plunging gorge make this preserve a must-see.

Little Rocky Glen Preserve is a 26-acre property maintained by Countryside Conservancy. This preserve is home to a gorge with cliffs that are over one hundred feet high. Rugged ledges tower above Tunkhannock Creek and offer great views of the rapids, waterfalls, and natural potholes. At the bottom of the gorge, the creek is calmer, and the waters form crystal clear pools.

Short hiking trails will guide you along the top of the gorge and through country meadows. A picnic pavilion at the bottom of the gorge offers a place to rest beside the creek. Swimming is not allowed at Little Rocky Glen Preserve.

Little Rocky Glen Preserve is located between Tunkhannock and Factoryville. It’s accessible from Lithia Valley Road, which is just off Route 6. A small parking lot is located on the right near the concrete bridge. Little Rocky Glen Preserve is open to the public from April through November.
