Winding Through the Heart of Historic Jim Thorpe
Jim Thorpe’s Broadway winds east to west and generally uphill. It’s a tight squeeze with skinny sidewalks and cars often parked on either side. It starts just steps from the famous Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway at Hazard Square, a three-way intersection with Lehigh Ave. and Susquehanna St. The quaint, tree-lined street with adorable storefronts, a unique mingling of architectural styles, old brick facades and peeks at the surrounding Pocono Mountains between buildings, seems air-dropped from an old northern European town.
And the season doesn’t matter. When you’re on Broadway in Jim Thorpe, you’re in for happy crowds of visitors, beautiful scenery and so much more.
