Adam Jubinsky Building | Horse-drawn era & farm heritage in Honesdale

Adam Jubinsky Building in Honesdale, PA showcases Wayne County’s agricultural past at the Wayne County Fairgrounds. Dedicated in 2019, the building stands adjacent to the J.B. Park Farm Museum and expands the Wayne County Historical Society’s focus on rural life between 1870 and 1930. The structure was made possible through a donation from John Jubinsky in honor of his father, Adam Jubinsky, and supports ongoing preservation of local farming history.

Inside, visitors can explore blacksmithing tools and the exhibit titled Horse-drawn Era, which highlights transportation and farm work before mechanization. A centerpiece of the building is a restored 1932 International Harvester farm truck. Originally owned by Charles Robinson of South Canaan, the truck hauled goods to coal mines and delivered coal to area farms. After changing hands several times and being carefully reconditioned, the vehicle was donated to the historical society as part of its agricultural display.

The Adam Jubinsky Building is open during the annual Wayne County Fair and by appointment throughout the year.
