The Wyoming Valley Catholic Youth Center in Wilkes-Barre, PA, commonly known as the CYC, offers year-round recreation, childcare, and youth programming for families. For more than 70 years, the CYC has served as a trusted community space focused on wellness, learning, and positive youth development. The facility includes two full-size gymnasiums, a state-of-the-art aquatic center, two playgrounds, a library, an outdoor park, and a licensed childcare center.
Programs at the CYC support children from early childhood through the teen years. Families can choose from youth sports leagues, sports clinics, swim lessons, and recreational swimming. The Sea Lions swim team provides competitive training for age-group swimmers. Pool birthday parties and seasonal camps add more ways to stay active and social.
The CYC also operates the only 24-hour childcare program in Luzerne County. Offerings include preschool preparation, kindergarten readiness, and before-and-after school care for students through eighth grade. Adult and senior programs are also available.
