Mission Statement
The mission of the Northeast Sight Services is to help blind and visually impaired individuals achieve the best possible quality of life by providing compassionate services and to prevent vision loss through education and early detection for people of all ages.
Since 1918, Northeast Sight Services in Exeter has helped blind and visually impaired people achieve a better quality of life and maintain their independence. This nonprofit serves individuals in Luzerne, Wyoming, Wayne and Pike counties.
Northeast Sight Services provides social service programs to individuals who are legally blind or have low vision. They help people adjust to vision loss, offer in-home support, hold social events and more. They also organize the InSight Kids Club of NEPA in partnership with Community Services for Sight. This group for blind and visually impaired children provides an opportunity to get together and enjoy fun activities.
Northeast Sight Services offers Prevention of Blindness programs are all ages and demographics. These programs include vision screenings for children and adults and educational programs about eye health and safety. Additionally, the Marilyn Moore Maslow Vision Resource Center provides a low-vision clinic, basic eye exams and low-cost prescription eyeglasses to local people in need.
