10K Run for the Osprey takes place at Lacawac Sanctuary in Lake Ariel on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at 9:00 AM. This annual spring trail race celebrates the return of the osprey, a migratory raptor that makes its way back to the region each year.
Participants can run or walk through a scenic course featuring forest trails, open landscapes and lakeside views. Along the route, runners may experience the sights and sounds of spring and could even spot the resident osprey pair nesting high above Heron Pond near the Education Center.
The event welcomes all levels, from those aiming for a personal best to those who prefer a relaxed and enjoyable walk through the trails. It offers a unique way to connect with nature while taking part in a meaningful outdoor experience.
Proceeds from the run and walk support the upkeep and maintenance of Lacawac’s Browning Beaver Meadow Sanctuary, helping preserve this important natural space for future generations.
