Artventurers: Prints & Portraits will take place at the Sordoni Art Gallery at Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 12:00 PM. The program invites young explorers and their families to discover art through creative, hands-on activities.
Each Artventurers session includes an interactive art project along with storytime presented in partnership with the Osterhout Free Library. New participants will receive a free sketchbook where they can collect badges as they attend future sessions.
During this program, participants will create cyanotype prints and self-portrait collages. Cyanotypes are one of the earliest photographic printing processes, producing distinctive blue images created using sunlight. The collage activity encourages children to explore identity and creativity through personal expression.
