Classic Films at the Kirby Series returns to the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts in Wilkes-Barre on select Wednesdays—May 13, June 3, July 15, August 19, September 16 and October 14, 2026—with screenings at 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM. This popular series brings iconic films back to the big screen with enhanced presentation for a more immersive viewing experience.

Each screening features a beloved classic spanning multiple genres, from adventure and fantasy to drama and horror. The lineup begins with The Princess Bride on May 13, followed by Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade on June 3 and Mary Poppins on July 15.

The series continues with Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back on August 19, The Godfather on September 16 and concludes with The Shining on October 14. Each film offers audiences a chance to revisit cinematic favorites in a theater setting.
