The 2026 CYC March Madness Event takes place at The Westmoreland Club in Wilkes-Barre on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. This annual fundraiser supports the Catholic Youth Center, which has served as a vital resource for local children and families for more than 75 years.
The event transforms the venue into a lively, sports-themed setting inspired by the excitement of March Madness. Guests can enjoy festive food and drinks, watch the Final Four games on large screens and take in a fun, high-energy atmosphere. From referee-themed staff attire to a tent designed like a sports bar, the experience captures the spirit of the tournament.
An online silent auction adds to the evening, featuring more than 100 items valued at over $25,000. The auction opens at noon on Wednesday, March 25 and closes at 9:30 PM on the night of the event. Participants do not need to attend in person to place bids, making it accessible to a wider audience.
Proceeds from the event support the CYC’s wide range of programs, including childcare services, teen drop-in programs, respite care, preschool education and youth sports. The event offers a meaningful way to enjoy a night out while giving back to an organization that continues to support young people throughout the community.
