Edible Plant Walk takes place at Lacawac Sanctuary in Lake Ariel on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 10:00 AM. Led by Nathaniel Whitmore, a Northeast Pennsylvania forager and herbalist with more than 20 years of experience, this guided walk explores the world of wild edibles found throughout the region.

Participants will head out on the trails to learn how to identify a variety of edible plants and mushrooms growing in their natural environment. Along the way, Nathaniel will share insights on responsible harvesting practices and discuss ways to safely prepare and use these natural resources.

This informative and engaging walk offers a hands-on opportunity to deepen knowledge of local ecosystems while gaining practical skills in foraging. Whether attendees are new to foraging or looking to expand their experience, the program provides a welcoming and educational outdoor experience.
