Gallery Talk: Celebrating the Semi-Quincentennial takes place at the Luzerne County Museum in Wilkes-Barre on Friday, February 27, 2026 at 7:00 PM. Presented by the Luzerne County Historical Society, the talk explores the museum’s newest exhibition, “Celebrating the Semi-Quincentennial: 250 Years of History.”
Curated and presented by Mark J. Riccetti, Jr., LCHS Director of Operations and Programs, the program offers an inside look at the exhibition’s themes, design process, and standout objects. The exhibit itself draws from photographs, pamphlets, clothing, art, memorabilia, and three-dimensional artifacts, featuring 530+ items spanning 1620–2026 and representing more than two dozen Luzerne County communities.
The gallery talk is free for LCHS members and $5 for non-member adults (museum admission included). The museum is located at 69 Rear South Franklin Street, Wilkes-Barre (behind the Osterhout Library). Winter museum hours are Saturdays 10:30 AM–3:30 PM, with weekday tours available by appointment.
