Girl Walks Into a Movie Theater at Diva Theater in Scranton takes place Friday, February 27, 2026 and Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 7:30 PM. Written and performed by Mandy Pennington and directed by Simone Daniel, this solo play is presented by DIVA Productions at the Olde Brick Theatre.
Set in and around the Gateway Cinema, the story reflects on a gritty, beloved local movie house where many Northeastern Pennsylvanians experienced firsts and found comfort in the dark. Through humor and honesty, the play explores teenage self-discovery, first love, and first loss, while paying tribute to a place and era that can’t be recreated.
