GROW Tree Planting Event at Montage Mountain in Scranton takes place on Saturday, April 11 at 9 AM. Now in its ninth year, this volunteer event focuses on reforesting the mountain by planting 6 to 8 foot trees in areas impacted by wind and water runoff.
Volunteers will help restore key sections of the mountain while supporting efforts to reduce erosion, protect snowpack and lower environmental impact. Projects range from planting to general outdoor tasks, making it a great opportunity for all ages and experience levels.
Each participant receives a limited edition GROW shirt, and a free lunch will be provided inside Slocum Hollow after the work is complete. The day wraps up with live music, creating a fun and rewarding community atmosphere.
Registration is encouraged to help organizers plan for supplies and volunteer groups. This event offers a hands on way to give back while enjoying time outdoors at Montage Mountain.
