Performance Music: “General Recital” takes place at The University of Scranton in Scranton on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at 7:30 PM, featuring student musicians performing a wide range of repertoire in solo and small ensemble settings.
The evening includes performances by individual artists as well as duet, trio, and small ensemble groups. Scheduled ensembles include the Steel Drum Band, Saxophone Ensemble, String Quartet, and Flute Ensemble, offering variety in style, instrumentation, and musical approach.
Performance Music at The University of Scranton centers on student choral and instrumental ensembles. While the University does not offer a music major, undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to participate in bands, choirs, string ensembles, and the steel drum band without an audition or enrollment fee.
With hundreds of students involved each year, the program reflects a broad campus community of performers, making this recital a snapshot of the talent and collaboration happening across the University’s music ensembles.
