Experience an evening of music and storytelling at The Surreal & Folkloric: The Music and Poetry of Federico García Lorca at Rossetti Estate in Scranton on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at 5:00 PM. This multidisciplinary performance blends poetry, music and cultural exploration.
Presented by the NEPA Guitar Society and The Olde Stories, the program explores Lorca’s poetic and musical legacy through spoken word, guitar ensemble and vocal performance. The evening features the Marywood Guitar Ensemble, directed by Diego Carvalho, along with guest artist Sungmin Shin, Marywood vocal soloists, Kyle Jenkins and Jason Smeltzer.
Set within the historic Rossetti Estate, the performance creates an immersive atmosphere that highlights themes of surrealism, folklore and Spanish tradition.
Admission is free, with donations welcomed to support arts programming in Scranton.
