Zentangle Workshop | Marywood University, Scranton
Saturday, March 21, 2026 | 9:00 AM
The Zentangle Workshop takes place at Marywood University in Scranton on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 9:00 AM. In this guided session, the instructor introduces Zentangle as a meditative art practice that uses simple, repeated pen strokes—called “tangles”—to create a finished piece in a short amount of time.
During the first half of the workshop, participants will explore authentic black-and-white, abstract Zentangle techniques step by step. In the second half, the class shifts into adding color and recognizable imagery to create Zentangle Inspired Art (ZIA).
Designed for beginners and experienced creatives alike, the workshop emphasizes process over perfection. As attendees build patterns through repetitive strokes, they can strengthen focus, spark creativity, and enjoy a calm, relaxing experience. The techniques also translate well to enhancing calligraphy quotes and broadsides.
