The holiday season is almost here! Communities across Northeastern Pennsylvania are gearing up for their eagerly awaited tree lighting ceremonies. With hundreds of twinkling lights, ornaments up the wazoo, and special appearances from Santa, these events are a great way to get into the spirit with family and friends.
We’ve rounded up some upcoming tree lighting celebrations in NEPA that you won’t want to miss!
November 23 at 3PM – Wilkes-Barre, PA
The city of Wilkes-Barre will hold their annual Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting Ceremony on November 24. The parade starts at 3PM with the tree lighting to follow.

Every holiday season, The WEJL Tower Lighting colorfully illuminates the night sky. This year’s celebration includes vendors, food trucks, and a special fireworks display at 6PM!

The annual Christmas Tree Lighting is one of the most magical evenings of the year in Downtown Stroudsburg! With music, visit with the Grinch, and more, there’s plenty to see and do. The tree gets lit around 6:30PM, followed by Santa’s arrival on the Firetruck.

Join the Downtown Pittston Partnership for the annual Toy Truck Parade and Tree Lighting. Presented by Froggy 101, the Toy Truck Parade will begin at 6PM with the Tree Lighting to follow.
