Electric City Shock Soccer Club | Semi-Pro Soccer Action in Scranton
Electric City Shock Soccer Club is s very own semi-professional soccer team competing in the National Premier Soccer League. Since 2013, the Shock has fielded elite-level talent from across the country and right here in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Their home turf is Weiss Field at The University of Scranton, where they host high-energy matches from late May through early July. Fans can catch top-tier college and post-college athletes battling it out in the Keystone West Conference, just four tiers below Major League Soccer.
The Shock focuses on skill development, teamwork, and community engagement. Many players come from local colleges, while others travel in from Division I programs around the region. The Rosado Group, the team’s ownership group, even provides housing for out-of-state players. The Shock also invites local high school athletes to train alongside the team, creating rare opportunities for up-and-coming talent in NEPA.
Beyond the field, Electric City Shock is working hard to grow its presence in the community. Through youth clinics, outreach events, and exciting summer games, they’re helping to energize local soccer fans and develop the next generation of players. With passionate coaching, an impressive player pool, and an authentic love of the game, the Shock brings fast-paced soccer excitement to Scranton.
