Hamlin Community Library | Books, Services & Events in Lake Ariel

Hamlin Community Library in Lake Ariel serves as a trusted resource and community hub for residents of Lake and Salem Townships. As a proud member of the Wayne Library Alliance, the library offers access to thousands of books, DVDs, audiobooks, and e-resources for patrons across Pennsylvania. Visitors can also take advantage of public computers, as well as printing, copying, and faxing services offered for a small fee.

Beyond lending, the library plays an important role in the community by offering programs, classes, and events for all ages. From children’s storytimes and educational workshops to social gatherings and cultural programs, Hamlin Community Library fosters a welcoming space where people can connect and learn together. The library also accepts passport applications by appointment, further expanding the convenience of services available on-site.

The current building, opened in 2006, reflects the library’s growth from its earlier days as the Salem Public Library housed in a restored railroad station. With staff, trustees, and volunteers working together, the library remains dedicated to its mission of being “the welcoming heart of our community where ALL can learn, discover, create, and connect.”

Hamlin Community Library in Lake Ariel delivers books, services, and programs that connect and inspire the community.
