Lackawanna Heritage Valley BikeShare | Borrow a Bike in Scranton and Explore for Free
Explore Scranton for free! Lackawanna Heritage Valley BikeShare is a free community bike-sharing program operated by the Lackawanna Heritage Valley Authority. With pick-up locations across the region, the program provides bikes, helmets, and locks at no cost, making it easy to explore Northeastern Pennsylvania’s scenic and historic trails. Their main headquarters on Railroad Avenue in Scranton also offers handcycles and recumbent bikes for riders with disabilities, making it one of the most accessible programs in the state.
Bike rentals are available for the entire day, so you can pedal along the scenic Lackawanna River Heritage Trail, visit Nay Aug Park, or cruise through Scranton’s historic downtown. Riders must be 16 or older and have a valid driver’s license or state-issued ID. Those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent.
