Wilkes-Barre Climbing Gym in Wilkes-Barre, PA is an indoor rock climbing facility serving climbers of all ages and skill levels. Located in downtown Wilkes-Barre, the gym features more than 6,000 square feet of climbing surface. It offers bouldering, top rope and lead climbing across wall angles ranging from -5 to 65 degrees, including roof climbing. Three TRUBLUE iQ® auto belays allow climbers to get on the ropes even without a partner.
Originally built in 1999, the gym has long served as a gathering place for the regional climbing community. The gym reopened under new ownership in 2024 and continues to welcome both first-time climbers and experienced athletes. Route grades range from beginner-friendly to advanced, offering challenges for every level.
Beyond climbing walls, the facility includes a training area with hangboards, a campus board and a 2017 Masters MoonBoard. A fitness room with cardio equipment and weights supports cross-training goals. Youth programs, open gyms and camps provide structured instruction for younger climbers. The gym also hosts birthday parties, scout outings, university groups and team-building events.
