Wyoming Valley Catholic Youth Center (CYC) | Recreation & Childcare in Wilkes-Barre
The Wyoming Valley Catholic Youth Center in Wilkes-Barre—commonly known as the CYC—offers year-round recreational programs, swim instruction, childcare, and youth sports. For over 70 years, the CYC has provided a welcoming and supportive space where kids and families can stay active, learn, and grow together. With two gymnasiums, a full-size pool, an outdoor park, two playgrounds, a library, and a licensed childcare facility, the CYC has something for every age group.
Families can take advantage of youth basketball leagues, sports clinics, swim lessons, and even pool birthday parties. The facility is also home to the Sea Lions, a competitive age-group swim team. Its 24-hour childcare center—the only one in Luzerne County—supports busy working families with flexible, reliable care. Programs also include preschool prep, kindergarten readiness, and before-and-after school activities for children in kindergarten through 8th grade.
