For over 60 years, the Ballet Theatre of Scranton has brought professional-quality dance performances to audiences throughout Lackawanna County, PA. The company is best known for its annual production of The Nutcracker, a free holiday tradition that draws families from across NEPA. In addition to this beloved show, the company also stages full-length spring ballets, summer camps and appears at community events like Scranton’s La Festa Italiana.
A major part of their mission includes dance education through its year-round dance studio program. The school welcomes dancers of all ages and skill levels, from toddlers in the Tiny Dancer program to teens and adults training in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and modern dance. Students gain valuable performance experience through showcases and community events held throughout the year.
