Walk among the old giants of the forest.
One of Countryside Conservancy’s newest properties, the Gardner Spencer Preserve serves as the link between Lackawanna State Park and the Ziegler Preserve. With 82 beautifully wooded acres and open fields, the Gardner Spencer Preserve offers optimal wildlife viewing. Visitors can walk through stunning old hemlock groves and along the brook. Nature seems to envelope you as you follow the trails from one end of the preserve to the next.
Parking is not available at the Gardner Spencer Preserve. The only access is through the Ziegler Preserve parking area. The Gardner Spencer Preserve is owned and managed by the Countryside Conservancy. It is open to the public from dawn to dusk.
